Meanwhile, we all know why May 4 is STAR WARS - day each year. But beyond the many movies, series, spin-offs, animation, etc. there is still a huge STAR WARS -money machine:. Merchandise! Since this is often on higher quality products, it is often talked about collectibles. Figurines of all the characters, some clothing, accessories, etc. All of the films is replicated to sell only the spacecraft in original large one has ventured.
Although I consider myself especially when it comes to STAR WARS, a fan, I have not (yet?) had any collectible. It's not that I'm against it, far from it, but I especially not the place to put or hang anything. However, in the summer of 2012 I have never been so close to my first collectible.
I visited Disneyland in Paris. In the second Disney Studios park you learn a lot about how film is made, attractions based on movies, etc. Of course there is also a souvenir shop, a small department full of Star Wars stuff. Besides the standard plush characters, simplistic toys, cheap light sabers and a few cups there were two things that had caught my attention. The first was a STAR WARS chessboard! Leia and Han were the king and queen,Luke with his fighter was the towers, Storm troopers were the ordinary pawns, etc. For only 40 euros -. A reasonably small price for decent souvenirs to expensive Disneyland - it was mine! One problem: there were only three copies! 2 copies had they figurines stolen and the third box was a little too hard acquainted with the ground. Result? No chessboard full of STAR WARS figures.

Disappointed, I walked on through the store and I seemed to see the holy grail of STAR WARS: A huge beautiful light saber, on a wooden stand, with a certificate of authenticity and batteries included! It seemed like magic, because I wanted it! Here, too, was only one copy, but completely fine, perfect condition! It was therefore up to 2 meters high. Unfortunately, there were also plenty of issues here. Issue 1 was the price. They asked for 184 euros. In my mind it was worth it, but still a serious bite out of your wallet. Issue 2 was transporting. The box that you got was quite large and our car with 4 adults was already quite full. Issue 3, however, was the greatest. My girlfriend did not see somewhere in the house to put the light saber or to hang. Why buy something if I could not show it off? Right, for all I know is that sword still waiting for a new owner!
HOW EXPENSIVE ARE TOYS?
Despite the fact that I have no children myself, I know that a toy is expensive. The price varies, of course, but remarkably, the older children are the more expensive the toys. For each age group, there are brands that their name some additional questions. On the other hand, that the toys they play with the longest. The STAR WARS collectibles bring you a new dimension to expensive toys. "My" expensive light saber? Compared is dirt cheap! You can find countless on the internet, but we show you the 10 most expensive Star Wars collectibles! Of course they are - certainly in my mind - more interesting as the price rises.
QUI-GON LIGHT SABER
At number 10 we see Qui-Gon Jinn Light saber from STAR WARS - EPISODE I: THE PHANTOM MENACE. This small artifact was used by actor Liam Neeson.
Number 9 is Luke Skywalker X-Wing Suit. For this
huge trendy pack a fan paid $ 60,000.00! Who says they know
that designer clothing is too expensive for what you buy? Of course this
is also not an ordinary replica, but the real deal! The real suit worn
by actor Mark Hamill.
DART VADER: PART 1
Darth Vader can be found at number 8 for
a piece of his equipment (helmet, mask and shoulder harness) from STAR
WARS: EPISODE V - THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK was a lover who counted
down $ 70,000.00 in 2003.
OBI-WAN KENOBI
One of my personal
favorites can be found at number seven. In terms of
price is still reasonable from below, but in terms of affordability, we are
already way above my budget. I will quietly still should provide a huge
limit increase for my Visa card! Here we see the original Obi-Wan
Kenobi Mantel. In 2007 it was sold at auction in London for $95,900.00! Completely insane thing I am thinking!
CHEWBACCA
Before we start at the
top 5 is purchased as number 6. Fortunately for the actor Peter
Mayhew played Chewbacca and the man has not much hair. The
character was also a costume. Just for the mask, someone paid
exactly $100,000.00 in 2007. This huge sum must have
hurt, especially since you have only the mask.
DART VADER: PART 2
Top 5's start with my second fave Hero
Darth Vader's light saber from Episode V. This smaller object ratio
in 2005 also changed ownership in the amount of $ 100,000.00! Enja
dear readers that is the same than number 6! Taking into account the
inflation, this is, however, higher.
DARTH VADER: PART 3
My third favorite can
be found at number four. The amount of $ 115,000.00 was
given in 2003 for Fighting Darth Vader's Helmet, again from
Episode V. It could not be otherwise if you're going to feel very malicious
with this mask on your face. Breathing problems Father, I can already
imitate hassle! So I'm on the right track.
HAN SOLO!
At number 3, we
get the first glimpse of Han Solo. In 2007, the Han
Solo Blaster from STAR WARS: EPISODE VI - Return of the Jedi no
less than $ 180,000.00 commandments! And these actually
would work, do I also direct my wallet open!
LUKE SKYWALKER
We are approaching
gradually to the most expensive collectible, but first we have number
2 still something of the great hero of the series. For Luke
Skywalker Light saber from Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope was
offered in 2005, $ 170,000.00.
TIE FIGHTER
At number 1, we
find the most expensive toy ever. For the astronomical sum of $
350,000.00 in 2008 was someone to own a miniature TIE fighter from
Episode IV. Honestly, I can hardly believe that someone - compared to the
rest - has paid such a fortune over a trifle. You hear it all, the most
expensive apartment is not my favorite.
SUM
SUM
If we just do a sum,
we arrive at the astronomical sum of $1,290,000.00 for all
these (cool) stuff. It is therefore high time that we win the lottery and
buy a house for everything beautiful in its display. Fortunately dreams
still free!
